BMO Asset Management Inc. Announces Index Changes to Three BMO ETFs

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - May 19, 2016) - BMO Asset Management Inc. (BMO AM) today announced changes to the underlying indices of:

  • BMO Equal Weight Utilities Index ETF (Ticker: ZUT)
  • BMO Equal Weight REITs Index ETF (Ticker: ZRE)
  • BMO Equal Weight US Health Care Hedged to CAD Index ETF (Ticker: ZUH)

Effective on or about May 27, 2016, ZUT will start tracking the Solactive Equal Weight Canada Utilities Index, ZRE will start tracking the Solactive Equal Weight Canada REIT Index and ZUH will start tracking the performance of the Solactive Equal Weight US Health Care Index Canadian Dollar Hedged.

Currently, ZUT tracks the performance of the Dow Jones Canada Select Equal Weight Utilities Index, ZRE tracks the performance of the Dow Jones Canada Select Equal Weight REIT Index and ZUH tracks the performance of the Dow Jones U.S. Large-Cap Health Care Equal Weight Total Stock Market Index Canadian Dollar Hedged.

An amendment to the offering documents of ZUT, ZRE and ZUH has been filed with the securities regulatory authorities, for which a receipt has been issued.

The Solactive Equal Weight Canada Utilities Index, Solactive Equal Weight Canada REIT Index and Solactive Equal Weight US Health Care Index Canadian Dollar Hedged will seek to provide investors with the same exposure to the asset class to which ZUT, ZRE and ZUH, respectively, are currently exposed. The changes to the indices align with the current investment objectives and strategies of ZUT, ZRE and ZUH. Additionally, the frequency of rebalancing for the indices remains the same.
