BMO InvestorLine Celebrates 30 Years of Empowering Investors

TORONTO, Sept. 28, 2018 /CNW/ - 30 years ago, BMO Financial Group transformed the investment space by providing Canadians with an alternative to the traditional brokerage firm experience.

On September 22, 1988, BMO InvestorLine launched – empowering Canadians to become self-directed investors. Before online investing, these early adopters were able to trade securities in person, over the phone or by fax. In 1997, InvestorLine went online.

Now, after 30 years, BMO InvestorLine is celebrating its track record of innovation.

"At BMO InvestorLine, we empower and inspire Canadians to invest smarter. This drives our commitment to digital and financial innovation," said Silvio Stroescu, President, BMO InvestorLine. "When we launched 30 years ago, we transformed the way Canadians invested their money. Our transformational journey continues in the evolution of digital investing, with our clients at the core of everything we do."
