- Statistics show employees with disabilities often score higher than their co-workers in job performance and job retention.
- 16 per cent of Canadians - equivalent to the population of Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan - have a disability.
- 70 per cent of Canadians with disabilities are unemployed versus 7.1 per cent of the general population.
- Best practices demonstrate these biases can be overcome and people with disabilities can make meaningful contributions to corporations' success.
